Year In Pictures (2013)

Its that time of year again where we reflect back and wonder what we have done. I can honestly say this year was life changing in a few different ways.

First of all this is still my first year of business and my love for photography grows even stronger. Iv met so many amazing people and have made some wonderful friends doing what I do best. I have placed some of my personal favourite images from this year throughout this post for you to see.
From tiny children to adults I adore portrait photography especially outside. Cant wait to work with lots of you again and some lovely new faces too.

On a personal level a lot has happened in my life this year.

On my Facebook a few months ago I announced I was taken into hospital. I first have to thank you all for your overwhelming support and understanding over this time. So now its time to tell you why I was there. I'm so pleased to announce I have my very own:

Baby B
Me and my partner are expecting our very first child next Summer!
As well as this other personal developments have been getting engaged to my partner.

Its going to be a super busy year full of great exciting things and I cant wait to let you follow on with my journey as I capture yours.

Have a wonderful New year from all of us behind Klayer Davidson Photography.

Much Love,
Claire Davidson (and bump) x

Edit Wednesday #1

I thought I would break down one of my recent photos of the lovely Gemma and show you how I edited it. Most photographers wouldn't show you this, and whilst I completely understand why I do think its great to show what I am capable of sometimes.

I have done this once before with a picture of Debbie but I thought I would do another.

This is the picture that was posted on my facebook page "Klayer Davidson Photography - Model"

And this is it straight from camera.

A huge change in the image dont you think?

Much Love,

November round Up

I'll be the first to admit I am not the greatest blogger in the land. I always forget to update and usually post it on my Facebook page instead. So if i seem a little quite check out there for any updates.

So this post is going to be a little round up of all the exciting things I haven't told you about that's happened during November and before.

First off my brand new logo and website design is complete. I still have my blog to design over the the new logo but everything is going well. Business cards have arrived and already have been dished out. Its been fantastic so far and love my new logo to pieces. Next stop is to personalize the packaging for the prints and that is already under way.

Things have been all over the place for the last few months and photography has taken a slight back seat. So I haven't had as much shoots as I would have liked. However I'm looking forward to get some more lovely shoots done with some children and really want to focus my work there. Theirs something so amazing about how little ones act and its a dream to work with them.

Along the same lines I was invited to Tutu's Dance School by Moria. It was great fun to work with them and they were so full of life. So below is just some little pictures of them.

I look forward to talking to you all again in the next blog post, I have such exciting news to tell you all!

Much love,

Updates and Shoots

Hello guys,
been a long time since I wrote to the blog, But not without good reason I can assure you.

Since my last post I have had many photo opportunities with some beautiful models.
If you have been following my Instagram (KlayerD) you will have noticed I have been putting up some behind the scene images of editing and straight out of camera shots.
So in this post I will be posting there side to side counterparts so you can see start to finish.

I had a super busy day a few weeks back squeezing in 4 photo shoots. It was meant to be five but im super glad a model didn't make it simply so I could eat lunch as I didn't get home until 9.30pm.

First up in the day I had the lovely Moira and her first shoot with me:
Her image landed up looking like this:

Then after that the lovely Debbie and her shoot. Her camera shot was this:
And her finished image was:

Next was a first time model to my lens named Gemma, whilst she isn't a model she was able to pull of convincing emotions due to her drama studies.

Then I had the lovely Violet Von Stein. Her shoot was the first I have ever done of her kind. I cant deside if its for me or not. Would  love to try more studio based type shoots, however always think I will be a location girl.

The rest of these sets can be found on my new Facebook page Klayer Davidson Photography - Model

Much Love,

A shoot with David Lawn

 Hello everybody!
I had another shoot today...but with the pictures above you can tell it was a bit different. For once I was shooting with a male!

After the success of my last blog post of Violet Von Stein and her behind the scenes. I thought I would do that every so often. So since today was special this lovely guy will get a behind the scenes too.

The man in question is a Mr David Lawn.

All the pictures in this post like last time were taken by my lovely assistant and partner Thomas Boyden.

So a little about today: We met up on union street at my usual meeting place and stood beside each other for a few minuets before I made the leap and said "hi" because I worked out it was David (I mean its not every day you see amassing trousers like these - of which I will be making!)
After that it was straight to busness. It was such a layed back shoot which is just my style. He posed, smiled and frowned and got some great pictures.

The pictures below are just a little snippet of the shoot which will hopefully leave you wanting more.

As usual keep an eye out for my facebook page where they will be posted as they are done.

Also if you haven't already saved my blog make sure you do so that you don't miss out on any exciting news and goings on.

Much love,

Dundee Tattoo Convention

Hello everyone!
I had mentioned on Facebook I was off to the Dundee tattoo convention last weekend. So this post just has a few images taken from the event.
A model and friend; Lucy Derry was there official videographer so I decided to pop along even tho I was battling the sniffles.
I didn't know what to expect to be honest, perhaps a bit more going on for the price it cost to get in. Me and my partner left after 30mins as we had visited each floor and nothing was going on and my health was slowly getting worse in the heat inside the place.
Would i go back? Possibly yes, depending on what bang I could get for my buck next time.

So here is some more pictures:
